The most unpleasant thing at work is when you understand everything, but can't respond quickly.
You know what you want to say, but you start searching for words, lose the rhythm — and end up speaking very little or going silent.
Conversational English for work is not 'complicated grammar'. It’s a set of ready patternsHow to clarify, how to agree, how to disagree gently, how to summarize.
Why is it difficult to speak in meetings, even with a B1–B2 level?
- high speech speed
- fear of sounding "unprofessional"
- many typical phrases that need to be said automatically
- habit of writing instead of speaking
The solution is to train not 'the language in general', but specific scenarios.

How to correct yourself quickly and get straight to the point
Don’t correct everything. Choose 1–2 things:
- correct preposition
- natural connection
- normal standard instead of "literal translation"
This way you maintain the pace and grow without shame.
To make progress faster, it’s convenient to practice these scenarios in APRIL: speak/write the sentence, receive a gentle correction and translation by clicking the Translate button — and repeat the improved version out loud. Trying Practik AI in APRIL can serve as a 'warm-up' before the call.
